About Lunascape

Lunascape is an Internet browser developed in 2001 as part of research conducted by Dr. Hidekazu Kondo of the Muraoka Laboratory at Waseda University in Japan to improve the efficiency of information gathering on the Internet.
Lunascape was awarded the Software Product of the Year award by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) for its advanced features such as tabbed windows, search box, and mouse gestures, and was used by over 20 million people worldwide.
Lunascape was incorporated as a public company in 2004 and offered its products before being acquired in 2017 by Mediadue, Japan’s leading provider of e-book infrastructure. Then in late 2019, the company was spun out again to G.U. Group, a blockchain research and development company.
Today, the Lunascape brand includes Lunascape Orion, its founding product, a browser for desktop PCs, as well as Lunascape Phoebe, a newly designed desktop product for macOS, and Windows. We are proud to offer Lunascape Mobile and the Luanscape Wallet, an extension of Google Chrome for an advanced web experience.
We hope that we can continue to provide you with tools for a better and more comfortable Internet experience.
